How much prep time do teachers need?

Very little. Most teachers can log in, open the weekly materials, and start using them right away. If you want to prepare ahead, the teacher answer key is the main item to review before class.

Can teachers review the questions before students see them?

Yes. Teachers can review every Weekly Interactive question, compare the default and alternate, customize the board, and preview the finished game before students play.

Can teachers control which questions appear in the Interactive Game?

Yes. Every Weekly Interactive board slot includes a default question and an alternate. Teachers can keep the default, choose the alternate, or leave the slot blank. Changes apply to that teacher's board and matching answer key for the selected week.

Can teachers write or edit their own questions?

Teachers do not write or rewrite NewzBrain questions. All default and alternate questions are professionally prepared so the game remains ready to use. Teachers simply choose which prepared question works best for their class, or leave the slot blank.

What grades are supported in Classroom Games?

NewzBrain supports grades 3-12. Weekly content is written for broad school use, and teachers can choose the game format that best fits their students and classroom rhythm.

Are NewzBrain current events politically biased?

NewzBrain is designed to present current events in a balanced, age-appropriate format that encourages discussion and critical thinking. Our goal is to help students understand current events, not tell them what to think.

Can I print the activities and answer keys?

Yes. Printable activities, worksheets, and answer keys are part of the classroom-games workflow, so teachers can project the interactive board or print materials depending on how they want to run class.

How long do Classroom Games usually take?

What is Weekly Showdown?

Weekly Showdown is a student-facing current events competition with 20 multiple-choice questions. It is designed for grades 3-12 and typically takes about 10-12 minutes on a student device.

What is the Monthly National Team Challenge?

The Monthly National Team Challenge gives students another recurring way to compete and represent their classroom or school. It is part of the Full Student Engagement Package.

What is Daily5?

Daily5 is a short, repeatable practice rhythm that keeps students engaged with current events more frequently throughout the week instead of only during one longer session.

How do teachers connect to a school?

Teachers connect to their school using the current school code and their teacher account. The code helps verify that each teacher belongs to the right school-year subscription.

Can multiple teachers use one subscription?

Yes. School subscriptions are designed for multiple-teacher use. Depending on the selected access tier, a subscription can support one teacher, a few teachers, or broad school-wide participation.

Do students need email addresses to sign up?

No. Students join through a teacher-provided signup code, which helps keep student onboarding simple and privacy-friendly.

What student information does NewzBrain collect?

For student participation features, NewzBrain collects only first name, last initial, and grade level. Student email addresses are not allowed for additional security. Student information and rankings are not publicly displayed.

What happens if a teacher changes schools?

A teacher can connect to the new school with that school's current code. This helps preserve the teacher account while correctly associating access with the current school.

Can we try NewzBrain before subscribing?

Which package should we look at first?
